Mechworks Systems Inc. is a spin-off from the University of Waterloo, one of Canada’s highest ranking engineering schools.
Mechworks is committed to providing cutting-edge solutions to the most demanding applications. We help our partners and customers stay ahead of competition with innovative, robust technologies and lower total cost of ownership. Mechworks offers a growing range of solutions including its analog, digital and mixed signal accelerometer systems, IMU's and a growing suite of re-configurable predictive and control software technology, addressing a broad range of markets, particularly intelligent accelerometer and sensor systems and solutions for the automotive, transportation and industrial machinery markets. Mechworks Systems significantly broadens the way sensing problems can be addressed - anywhere intelligent sensors can increase performance and reduce cost.
We also provide highly specialized vibration analysis and control, as well as fault diagnostics consulting and advisory services, and customized total solutions to a wide range of industries.
MechSense Digital is a stand-alone re-configurable digital accelerometer system capable of measuring accelerations in 2 or 3 directions. The totally digital MDS accelerometer is an integrated system eliminating the need for sensing accessories such as signal conditioners, analog-to-digital converter and power supply (for USB models only). This all-in-one solution is also ideal for academic research and industrial consulting.
MechSense Digital can also be used as an inclinometer. This feature allows for the measurement of the degree of inclination of an object the sensor is attached to.
MechSense Hybrid provides all of the features of the MechSense Digital and the MechSense Analog sensors. It is capable of either digitally acquiring data from the sensor, or from a traditional analog data acquisition system. Mechsense Hybrid comes in either biaxial or triaxial models. The Mechsense Hybrid sensor system offers total flexibility for users of various sensing equipment.
MechSense Analog is an analog accelerometer carefully engineered for cost sensitive applications, while still providing solid performance. MechSense Analog is fully capable of measuring acceleration in two directions. This multiple-output sensor is carefully engineered for high performance and low cost applications such as modal analysis, testing and automotive applications.
MechManager is a ready-to-install sensor software toolkit, which enables the user to configure a signal conditioner and 12-bit sampling to suit user-specific applications. It also comes with a new tilt sensor feature, which enables you to use a MechSense sensor to measure the inclination of the surface it's attached to. MechManager, which comes with the purchase of either MechSense Digital or Hybrid sensors replaces the need to purchase and configure traditional costly data acquisition software.
MechTrack is a fully compensated, six degree-of-freedom (DOF) digital inertial-measurement-unit (IMU) for applications such as vehicle dynamics measurement and control, autonomous vehicles and robotics. It integrates 3 linear accelerometers and 3 angular rate gyros with user-adjustable signal conditioning, 12-bit resolution and an update rate of up to 500Hz. The MechTrack accelerometers are available in ranges ±2g and ±10g. The gyros are available in ranges of ±75°/s, ±150°/s, or ±300°/s. MechTrack is available in a compact, mountable and hermetically sealed package.
